Dear ICAN member,

I wanted to update on the current legislative session through January.  No proposed legislation of great importance has surfaced to date.  We are keeping an eye on two bills that currently have strong support in the right direction. 

They are: HJM001

MARRIAGE - States findings of the Legislature and calls

upon the Supreme Court of the United States to reverse the

decision in Obergefell v. Hodges and restore the natural

definition of marriage, a union of one man and one woman.

EDUCATION - Adds to existing law to allow public schools to

display only certain flags and banners on school property

and to prohibit schools from displaying certain flags and

banners.

We can pray both of these sail through without interference.  We will continue to watch for other proposals that may adversely affect children, religious freedoms, and that lower moral community standards. 

In the interim, please keep praying for our elected officials.
