Production Director

Position Overview
The Restored Community Church Production Director leads and oversees the technical production ministry of the church in support of weekly live worship services, special events, ministry gatherings, and online streaming. This role is responsible for ensuring that audio, video, lighting, (AVL) livestream, presentation, and platform setup are executed with excellence, consistency, and a servant-hearted spirit.
The Production Director leads the Production Team in creating distraction-free environments where people can encounter Jesus Christ through worship, teaching, and ministry events. This individual must be technically skilled, highly organized, spiritually mature, and committed to developing servants who support the vision and values of Restored Community Church. Above all, the Production Director must be a faithful witness for Jesus Christ and personally follow and adhere to the Statement of Faith of Restored Community Church.
Job Summary
The Production Director is responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating all production-related areas at Restored Community Church. This includes weekly setup and operation of livestreaming, videography, sound, lighting, presentation software, and placement of the worship team on the platform. The Production Director works closely with the Senior Pastor, Worship Director, staff, and ministry leaders to ensure that services and events are prepared, coordinated, and delivered with excellence.
This role includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and discipling Production Team servants while maintaining the systems, equipment, and processes necessary for effective ministry. The Production Director must be familiar with ProPresenter and other systems used by Restored Community Church, including Planning Center and Squarespace. The Production Director must be an active follower of Jesus Christ and demonstrate consistency in both personal and professional witness.
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production, Audio Engineering, Communications, Ministry, or related field (preferred) In lieu of education, 5 years of experience in media production, audio engineering or communications
● Proven experience in church production, livestreaming, audio, video, lighting (AVL) or related technical ministry
● Experience leading or serving on a church production, media, or technical team
● Familiarity with worship service planning and church production environments
● Proficiency with ProPresenter and presentation workflows
● Familiarity with Planning Center Online
● Working knowledge of audio consoles, microphones, livestream equipment, cameras, switchers, lighting systems, and media presentation systems
● Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, schedule, and disciple servants
● Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Knowledge
● Production Leadership – Understanding of how technical production supports worship, teaching, ministry, and the vision of the church
● Audio Systems – Knowledge of sound boards, Behringer Wing audio mixers or similar digital sound boards (Front of House, IEMs and Broadcast), Shure Digital Wireless systems microphones, monitors, and audio troubleshooting
● Video & Livestream – Knowledge of camera operations, Canon EOS C100, C200 C300 digital cinema cameras , video switching, livestream setup, streaming platforms, live streaming software including Vimeo and Live Stream Studio and basic videography principles
● Lighting Systems – Experience with lighting software such as Color Source digital lighting software and interface, and the ability to learn more advanced lighting consoles such as GrandMA. Understanding of lighting design, operation, setup, and how lighting supports worship and communication
● Presentation Software – Working knowledge of ProPresenter 7, Adobe Audition for editing and producing weekly radio show, Adobe Premiere and After Effects or Final Cut Pro and Motion video software and related presentation workflows
● Planning Systems – Familiarity with Planning Center for scheduling, service planning, and team communication
● Platform & Stage Setup – Understanding of worship team placement, stage flow, cable management, safety, and visual presentation
● Team Development – Knowledge of leadership principles for building, equipping, encouraging, and shepherding servant teams
● Spiritual Leadership – Ability to lead with humility, encouragement, accountability, and a personal commitment to Jesus Christ

● Audio Operation – Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting sound systems for services and events
● Livestream Support – Leading the setup and execution of weekly streaming of church services and events
● Video & Videography – Capturing, switching, and supporting video needs for worship services, events, and ministry communication
● Lighting Operation – Setting up and operating lighting systems to support worship and teaching environments
● Presentation Support – Preparing and operating ProPresenter for lyrics, sermon slides, videos, and other service elements
● Stage & Platform Setup – Coordinating placement of the worship team, instruments, microphones, monitors, cameras, and related equipment
● Systems Management – Using Planning Center, ProPresenter, Squarespace, and other systems used by Restored Community Church
● Troubleshooting – Quickly identifying and resolving technical issues before, during, and after services or events

Work Context

Primary Job Duties
● Lead and oversee all production areas for weekly worship services and special events ● Ensure excellent weekly livestreaming of church services and events

● Ensure production equipment is properly maintained, organized, stored, and ready for use ● Troubleshoot technical issues before, during, and after services or events
● Develop production systems, checklists, and processes that improve consistency and reliability ● Support special events, ministry gatherings, memorial services, holiday services, and other church-wide events as needed
