Hi friend,
This weekend is our annual Father’s Day service, and we are excited to welcome out all the dads in our church to celebrate them. Whether you’re a dad or a father-figure in someone else’s life, we encourage you to come out to the 9am or 11am service and be encouraged! I’m teaching a lesson called, “The 4 Traits of a Godly Father” and we’re going to talk about the traits that both Joshua and Caleb possessed which made them the godly leaders of their families and their nation. I hope you can make it!
Last Sunday night we hosted over 400 people for the Idaho/Israel Conference where we heard from an IDF soldier fresh off the battlefield in Gaza. God was honored and we were blessed to hear the details of what is happening over there and in Israel; details we won’t hear in our national news outlets. The local Jewish synagogue had rented an event center but after receiving threats, the center cancelled the contract just days before. When I learned of this, I started to pray about offering them our new building, but I suddenly realized that God had already spoken to me through His Word. That evening, we were visited by about 35 of these same protesters who made themselves known as they hurled insults and threats towards all who came for the event. Some have asked why we would invite a group that incites these angry people to show up and here’s my response; If we’re going to say that we support God’s chosen people; if we’re resolved to stand against another holocaust; then when the time to stand with them comes, we need to step up. Words only go so far; actions win the day. I want to thank the Eagle Police Department officers who stood in the gap that night and became targets of ridicule themselves. We are very appreciative of your bravery and the difficult job you do for us every day!
Upcoming Events:
Our annual Independence Day event called Celebrate America is right around the corner! This year we celebrate on Sunday, June 30th in both the 9am and 11am services. Be ready to thank God for the freedoms He stirred up in the hearts of our forefathers and come celebrate the men and women of our armed forces and first responders both active and retired who’ve stood in the gap and risked their lives for our freedoms. This is always an emotional weekend as we, along with the RCC Choir, will sing some of our nation’s most memorable music. If you want to honor a loved-one who served, you can send a copy of a picture you have, and provide their name, rank, and branch of service to answers@restoredcommunitychurch.org by June 25th.
Shop Talk is Sunday, June 23 @ 9am. Come hear the story of how Restored was planted and then discover your spiritual gifts and where you can deploy them here at RCC. Register online.
May the Lord bless you and keep you until we meet again.
Thanks for staying In-Touch!
