Hi Friend,

Wow! What a wonderful Harvest Festival we had last night! The new Worship Center was turned into a fun fair environment for hundreds of celebrities like Ewoks, princesses and I even saw Wreck-It Ralph in attendance! What a great opportunity we had to reach out to the community around us and show them the love of Christ! I personally spoke with two families who were not connected to a church but said they’d come back this Sunday. God is working in our communities here in the Treasure Valley.

Many thanks to all the servants who moved chairs and mountains to make this all come together! God sees your selfless heart and will not forget how you served His call to reach the lost! Thank you, Kristin and Krew for heading this up and making it all run so smooth.

This Sunday, just hours prior to the elections, I am going to talk about why you and I need to be involved in the process, as well as speaking up to proclaim God’s truth, in love. The world shouts that Christians shouldn’t bring their faith into politics as they quote a familiar phrase – separation of church and state – but is this true? Is that phrase in the Constitution? Did Jesus speak on this subject? If so, what did He say? My message is called The Separation Delusion.

Then, the following Sunday we will jump into a new mini-series on Thankfulness. We, as Americans, are some of the most-blessed people to ever have lived on planet earth, and we should remember God’s goodness over these last 248 years of nationhood. I know I have much to be thankful for, and I believe you do, too. Let’s pause a few weeks to discover the many benefits of having and living out of, a heart of thanksgiving to God.

Upcoming Events:

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) begins this Sunday at RCC! Pick up your boxes in the lobby, pack them with items suggested by OCC, and bring them back in the next 3 weeks. OCC will add a Gospel booklet to our boxes in the language of the boxes destination so that kids will learn about the free gift of salvation through Jesus. The new goal for our church is 1,500 boxes packed over the next 3 weeks! By the way, this is a wonderful project to do with your kids and grandkids because they learn how blessed they are, and how important it is to send the Gospel out to those who’ve never heard the name of Jesus before. Together, we’ll shatter the goal!

Child Dedication Class – Sunday, November 10th @ 12:45pm register online. For parents wanting to dedicate their kids and family to the Lord.

Baptism Sunday, November 10th at both services. Register online by the 4th.

Servant Appreciation Dessert Friday, November 15 @7pm. Everyone who serves in any capacity at RCC is invited to come and be appreciated for serving the Lord so faithfully this year. Please RSVP here.

This year has been a year of many firsts since moving into our new Worship Center and my prayer is that many will come to salvation because of the work we do to reach our valley with the love of Christ here at RCC.

Let’s finish this year strong – faithful to use our Time, Talent, and Treasure to build God’s kingdom!
