Greetings friend,
I love the change of weather we’re experiencing here in Idaho. It seems to change every few hours.
We are continuing in our study of Ephesians in a series called “The King’s Ransom” and this week I’ve titled my sermon – “From Rust to Restored”. Paul encourages every believer to put off the old life and put on the new and this Sunday I’ll be using a familiar metaphor via The Old Blue Truck. I hope you can make it, and this would be the perfect time to invite that guy-friend to church. Lots of testosterone in the message as I rev up this message!
Heraclitus said, “The only constant in life is change” and that’s true in life in general but illustrated once again within our own church family. For almost 4 years, Pastor Matt and Toni Moffett have served the Lord faithfully in ministry here at our church. Recently, though, they’ve felt a call to plant a church 30 minutes north of us up in Emmett and their time here at RCC is coming to an end. They’ll be leaving us to begin preparations in a couple of weeks and I’ve asked Pastor Matt to preach one last time Sunday, March 23rd. I hope you’ll express your gratitude to them as they leave next month on this exciting new adventure.
Finally, we are launching an exciting new ministry at Restored Community Church which is at the center of Debbie’s and my heart – the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry. Ephesians 4:12. We have dreamt of this for years and we’re finally ready to get started. It’s called Equipped for Life. Imagine attending classes where you can enrich your marriage, learn to parent more effectively, learn to budget finances biblically, or become more comfortable at sharing Jesus with others. Now imagine doing this right upstairs in our new RCC classrooms surrounded by like-minded believers. Most believers will struggle their entire lives because they’ve never been equipped for real life situations. Our desire is to change all that. So, get ready, put your seatbelt on, and get ready to be Equipped for Life! More info to come.
Coming Events:
Easter week will be here before you know it! I hope you’ll ask the Lord to put someone on your heart to invite to church! Soon, we’ll have invitations with which you can hand to the people you’d like to hear the story of the greatest day in history.
The Restored Holy Land Tour is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the Bible come alive. Join us next year, April 21 – May 1, 2026, for this amazing journey to Israel. Experience the places you’ve read about in scripture as I teach those passages in real time. Worship with Nicole as she leads us in music on the Sea of Galilee and other memorable sites. May the Lord bless you and keep you until we meet again!
