I hope you’re enjoying the last gasps of summer. Fall will be here before we know it! Last week, in our study of Hebrews, we saw how Jesus is better than the angels and this week in chapters 3 and 4 we’ll look at how He’s better than, Moses, himself. The Jews placed Moses and the law above Jesus in order of importance, and many were considering going back to the law due to peer-pressure from family and friends. Our enemy, flesh, and the world has a strong attraction that pulls at us constantly so we must remain anchored in our faith to Christ. We can walk confidently through this crazy world if we stay close to Him, and in God’s Word. I hope to see you this Sunday at 9am or 11am. No drifting allowed!
I want to emphasize a really great opportunity we have in a couple of weeks here at church. Beginning Sunday September 14th we’re launching Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University classes! So many Christians I know struggle financially and just don’t know what to do to get out of debt and walk in the freedoms based on biblical principles God’s provided us in His Word. This 10-week class is for anyone who wants to understand how to become a godly steward of what the Lord’s entrusted us to use for His glory. Do you want to learn how to set up a budget? It’s all covered in this powerful class. The cost is $50 for materials, but if you attend at least 8 of the 10 weeks you’ll receive a full refund! We just want to help people experience lasting financial peace. Classes end in time for you to attend the 11am worship service and Sunday School runs both hours for the children.

Woman’s Brunch Bunch is coming up on September 5, 6, 12, or 13. Pick the date that works for you and meet some great forever friends around some brunch and laughter. These meet in homes and it’s a comfortable and cozy environment to meet other ladies who attend RCC. Check out the website for more details and register.
And ladies, speaking of registering, this is the final Sunday to sign up for the Women’s Fall Retreat at the Early-Bird discounted rate! Sign up in the lobby this Sunday or go online. The Retreat is November 7 and 8 up in Cascade at a beautiful lodge! My wife, Debbie, will be sharing a message titled God’s Glory in Your Story. Her testimony of triumph over tragedy is one that will resonate with just about everyone.
One last awesome opportunity: Our Fall Outreach is coming up in just a few weeks on Friday, September 19, and we need your help. The event is our Back to Church celebration weekend. We’re inviting everyone from our surrounding community to come enjoy a car show, some great food-trucks, and a free concert by Christian artist - Emerson Day. God’s Word tells us to share the Gospel with those around us, and it doesn’t get any easier than this, friend. Just invite a friend or neighbors to come with you to the Restored Car Show that runs from 4 – 7pm. Enjoy food and music together around tables and fun. Then stay for the concert at 7pm. (Doors open at 6pm)
