Greetings friend,

It’s so good to be back with the church! Debbie and I had a refreshing time away together and we’ve returned ready and raring to go again!

This Sunday we’re back in our series called What Happens Next? where we’re looking at the order of the end of time. We’re coming to a close soon and this week my message is called - A Thousand Years with The King. Have you wondered about the Millennium and what happens during these thousand years? I hope to answer some of the questions you might have about this topic and others. Hope to see you in our new Restored Life Center! (RLC)

This week, in my absence, I’ve asked Pastor Matt to bring the message. He’ll be teaching from Philippians 3 in a message titled, “There’s Giants in the Land.” We’ll be taking a look at the giants Paul identifies in us that empower believers to take on the schemes of the enemy. The giants that the enemy presents are small compared to the giants God has given us. We know that when the enemy attacks, and presents situations, he wants us to fear and fear is a liar! I hope you’ll join us this Sunday!

At the close of each summer, we host an event called Back To Church Sunday which is designed to bring us all back together again as a church as well as offer a great tool to invite people we know who aren’t saved, or who are looking for a place to worship.

This year is no different and we’ve designed a great opportunity for outreach to our local communities. We’re calling it “Back To Church Sunday – Restored Car Show”. The date is Sunday, August 25.

Our church is known for its many generous people as evidenced in the weekly giving, and in the blessing of our new worship center! So many have given one-time gifts, and many more have committed to giving monthly gifts, as well, to the Restored Life Center @ RCC. Now for the latest update: We set a total giving goal several months back of $3.3M by the time we entered the building and guess what?

This week is one of our most-favorite Sundays of the year when we celebrate God’s blessing and provision of our nation. 248 years ago, we declared to the world that we were a free country, accountable to God. The first mention of God occurs in the very first sentence of the Declaration which calls out the origin of power being the “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.”

As you know we’ve been in a series called, “What Happens Next" a chronological study of end-times events. We began with “Unwrapping the Rapture” and this week we’ll move on to the next event which involves the Ezekiel 38 War in a sermon titled, “Israel’s Time of Trouble." I believe the Bible reveals that in between the Rapture of the Church and the beginning of the 7 years Tribulation, the world will witness this ominous and sobering battle between God and man when Russia, Iran, and other Arab nations come against Israel in an effort to wipe her off the map completely. Of course, this axis of evil fails to understand God’s love for Israel, His chosen people, and His mighty power and resolve to protect her. In short, God wins! I hope you can join us as we look at this awesome chapter in scripture this Sunday.

This weekend is our annual Father’s Day service, and we are excited to welcome out all the dads in our church to celebrate them. Whether you’re a dad or a father-figure in someone else’s life, we encourage you to come out to the 9am or 11am service and be encouraged! I’m teaching a lesson called, “The 4 Traits of a Godly Father” and we’re going to talk about the traits that both Joshua and Caleb possessed which made them the godly leaders of their families and their nation. I hope you can make it!

It’s been 2 weeks since the grand opening of the new Restored Life Center at RCC and we’ve seen God working in many lives already. Stories of people “trying church” for the first time. Others coming back to their faith after years of wandering. God is so very good, and His grace and mercy so very needed by us all!
