Greetings friend,
 
Debbie and I love this time of year when the weather changes, the trees become bright beacons of colors, and we draw closer to the holidays which remind us of the blessings of God.

For the past several months we’ve studied the life of Joseph – From Pit to Palace – and witnessed God’s providential hand on each person in the captivating story. God is always at work in front of us, in spite of, the behind scenes of our lives.  He never wastes a single tear or storm on our earthly journey.
 
This week we come to an end in this amazing story and life of God’s people. We’ll see 3 Funerals and a Birth in the final chapter of Joseph’s fascinating life, and I hope you can be with us as we close with chapter 50 of Genesis.
 
With all that is going on in the world, especially in the Middle East, I feel compelled to answer the question that is on so many people’s minds - Is this The End? What’s next on God’s prophetical calendar?  So, beginning the weekend of October 28 & 29, I want to pause for a couple of weeks to begin a series - which we’ll conclude next spring - called, “What Happens Next?” in a chronological study of end-time events. God has provided us with insight to this epic chain of events – not to scare us, but to prepare us for the final days leading up to the end of human history. Bring your writing instruments with you, along with a journal as I know you’ll want to take notes on this fascinating study from God’s Word.
 
In closing, I want to remind you of two very important opportunities coming your way.
 
Tomorrow, Friday, October 20th @ 7pm in our sanctuary, we’re launching our new ministry called I.C.A.N. – The Idaho Christian Action Network.  This conference will include a time of prayer, worship, and an informative discussion with three of our Idaho state representatives – Judy Boyle, Josh Tanner, and Bruce Skaug. I hope you will come out in force as we lay the foundations of this important, and exciting new ministry to our state. Please arrive early for seating.
 
Then, on the heels of I.C.A.N., Women’s Ministries has put together a wonderful event for everyone (men, women, and children) to tour our state capitol, and to join some of our legislators in the Lincoln Auditorium, to learn how we can Embrace Our State with the love of Jesus Christ. You won’t want to miss out on this very unique opportunity on Friday, November 3 beginning at 9:30am on our capitol steps! God has been so good to us and as we move forward, we need to remember to thank Him for His amazing faithfulness to us on so many levels! We only want what He wants!
