Hello friend,
Wow! What a December we had! We celebrated the birth of Jesus by looking at The Heart of Christmas, by singing some of the traditional carols, and the Candlelight service was the most amazing one in our 8 years of church-life! I hope you were able to attend all or some of these events. Last Sunday we hosted Leanna Crawford for two services in the morning where she sang her new song – Still Waters – based on Psalm 23 and I had the opportunity of preaching on the chapter right afterwards. Then, Sunday night, Leanna came back for a concert and blessed our socks off! What a godly young woman she is. Her team, along with her husband, former NBA player Cody Zeller, were truly inspiring, as well.
This Sunday we kick off our annual 2 weeks of Stewardship with a message called The Stewardship of a Disciple. Did you know that over 2,300 verses in the Bible directly speak on the topic, and 1 out of every 7 lessons taught by Jesus speak of how we are to use our Time, Talent, and Treasure? Couple that with the promise of a reward in Heaven for how we chose to engage these gifts from God, and you have the makings of an interesting sermon. I hope you can be at one of our Sunday services at 9 or 11am.
Our 8th Annual Vision Dessert is set for Sunday, January 12 at 4pm. This is a time when we celebrate what God has done the year before, and an opportunity to peek into 2025 and see where God is leading us as a church. We’ll here from some of our ministries, enjoy some fellowship and dessert, all while we praise and worship our Lord! Childcare will be provided for Birth – 5th grade. Please register online for this wonderful afternoon event.
The last few years have been absolutely exhilarating as we’ve had the opportunity to give back to God just a portion of what He’s entrusted us to steward. We’re literally witnessed every financial goal met and exceeded during the construction phase of our new Restored Life Center! As we begin a new year of reaching the lost for Christ, building up the faith, wisdom, and knowledge of the saints, and help to plant more local churches, as well as support more missionaries in taking the Gospel into the world, we want to set our next goal.
As I get older, no comments please, the word legacy keeps coming back to me, time and again. I believe that God has called, equipped, and flourished this church-plant in more ways than we can know. Our generations have given – extravagantly – of their Time, Talents, and Treasures in order to bring life to this body of Christ here in Eagle, Idaho. After much prayer, I’m asking everyone to pick up the challenge of leaving our kids and youth a debt-free place of worship. I’m inviting you to be a part of leaving an eternal legacy through your generous gifts to pay off the construction debt on our new building over the next 4 years. This could be an annual or monthly gift – over and above our regular giving. Debbie and I are considering what we can do right now, and I hope you’ll do the same. At the Vision Dessert we’ll come forward together to present the Lord with our commitments as we trust the Lord to, once again, provide.
RCC has such generous and faithful people who serve using their Time, Talents, and Treasures. Thank you to all who’ve graciously given to the Lord’s work here at Restored over the years. God is faithful and He will remember our generosity in eternity (Hebrews 6:10). If you haven’t yet partnered with us, we invite you to prayerfully consider what God might have you do as He works in and through the Forever Family at Restored Community Church.
