Restored Community Church

Hello friend,

The week of Thanksgiving is a special time for many of us. Our kids, or grandkids, take a break from school and most adults pause from their busy lives to remember just some of the things for which we can be thankful. Our families, our friends, a warm home, and hot meals. Our health, our finances, our church, and the assurance of God’s presence in our lives are just a few of the things for which we can thank the Lord. But first, and foremost, is God’s love for us, and the salvation He alone provides every believer through His Son, Jesus Christ. If you have Jesus, then you have everything you need!

This weekend we will look at this important topic in a message I’ve titled – “Living a Life of Thankfulness” and I want to ask you to pause your busy schedule to join us for this important reminder about how to live life with a heart of gratitude. I hope to see you at one of our services this weekend.

Important reminder: This weekend is the final call for returning your Operation Christmas Child boxes to the church lobby, so be sure to bring them with you. Also, we’re looking for a few servants who would like to help deliver our boxes down to the collection center in Meridian on Sunday at 12:15 pm after service. If you can fill this vital role, you will be blessed by the joy that accompanies the sacrifice of service!

The Idaho Christian Action Network is hosting a class called I.C.A.N. and the Idaho Constitution on Thursday night, December 14th @ 7pm at RCC. Our friend, Representative Josh Tanner will be teaching this interesting course which effects all of us as citizens of this great state. I hope you can join us. Next weekend we will include a very important Christmas invitation card in the bulletin. I want to encourage you to hand this to someone God places on your heart to invite to our Christmas services over the month of December. In a poll, I read that over 70% of non-churchgoers would come to a service if someone invited them personally. That someone is you and me! One invitation can change a person’s eternity for the better! I encourage you to begin praying now for the person that God places on your heart!

Lastly, I want to tell you that God has been so good to our church in recent days. Several people have stepped up and given gifts in support of the new Restored Life Center at RCC. Some have given cash, some stock options, and still others have provided appreciated assets from property to the Lord and His work through our church. We are so very humbled and filled with joy when we anticipate the many lives that will be forever changed because of these gifts. If you’ve already given, thank you for your generosity to God’s kingdom work at Restored. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to do so, your year-end, tax deductible, gift of any amount will be equally celebrated.

I give thanks for you, and your friendship in Christ,

Pastor Ben
