Greetings friend,

Wow! Fall came in like a lion! What a powerful rain and lightning show we were treated to on Tuesday!

Bible teaching churches are experiencing significant growth right now. There’s clearly a hunger for God’s Word and truth. I’m calling this explosion in attendance “The Charlie Effect.” Millions have been awakened, or reawakened, and they’re searching for answers. Could this be the birth of the revival we’ve prayed for over several decades? I sure hope so! For the first time in our church’s history, we’re setting attendance records every week now since the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk. Charlie always spoke truth and pointed people to Jesus. Part of the challenge and blessing we’re experiencing is that parking is at a premium at RCC. We’re doing our best but I want to ask you for your help, too. If you have the option of coming to the 9am hour, would you be willing to sacrifice and come to worship then? Perhaps the space you leave open will be filled with someone coming to hear and respond to the Gospel. Thank you in advance! This Sunday we continue our study in the Book of Hebrews in chapter 8. We’ve seen that Jesus is better than the angels, better than Moses and all of the prophets, better than any other priest in history, and now we’ll see how that culminates into a better covenant. God’s plan for man’s redemption is truly amazing and full of hope for all who claim His offer of grace and mercy.

Restored Mommas is our newest ministry at Restored and it’s targeted to moms who want to connect with other moms in a meaningful way. You’ll find a Christ-centered community in which you can safely bond with and grow deeper in faith. Join our Restored Mommas Group on October 18th at FWC Wood Glam as we dive into the topic of breaking free from comparison and embracing God's design. Enjoy an inspiring message, create your own custom wood sign, and reflect on Psalm 139:14 ~ "I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Ladies, November 7 & 8 Women’s Ministry has planned a one-night women’s retreat for you in the beautiful mountains of Cascade called GOD’S GLORY In Your Story. Debbie is excited to share her story in three parts and Nicole will bring the worship with an all-lady team. There will be food, fireside fellowships, cabin time, morning stretch, and three meaningful breakout sessions on Saturday from which to choose. Trinity Pines Retreat Center is right off the main road and if you want to carpool you can meet at the church at 2pm. You can find more information, or register, on the RCC Women’s page or the team will be in the lobby – one final Sunday - this weekend. All registration and merchandise run through Oct 5. Scholarships are available. Mark your calendars!

Our Annual Fall Festival is almost here, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Join us on Friday, October 31 at 6:00pm for an evening filled with family fun, exciting games for the kids, and our always-popular Chili Cook-Off. This week we’re kicking off our Candy Drive to make our carnival possible! Bring a bag of candy and drop it in the bins located in the lobby!

This Friday @ 6:30pm, we’re hosting one of our own – Steve Bender – whose running for Eagle City Council. I hope you’ll come out and meet Steve and discover his vision for our fine city. We’ll meet in Room B upstairs.

We have a wonderful fall in store filled with praise and thanksgivings to God for all that He’s done, is doing, and will do in, and through, this amazingly generous people at RCC! May the Lord bless you and keep you until we meet again.

The summer days are counting down as school begins soon for many of the families at RCC. I, personally, believe that S/W Idaho has the perfect mixture of weather. I like to call it 4-seasons light. You get all 4 without having to deal with too much snow.

As we’re heading into the Fall, we’re beginning a new verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews called Confidence in a Chaotic World. The book of Hebrews is a powerful reminder of the power and glory of our Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ and the hope every believer has in Him. I hope you’ll be with us this Sunday as we kick off the new series.

Please pray for our men who are up at the Manly Men’s Man Camp. When guys come together around the Word, miracles can happen!

This Sunday I’m taking a week to talk about something that we’re all too familiar with in our lives; the topic of fear. No doubt we’ve all experienced it in many forms; the loss of a loved-one, some bad news from a doctor, or the flashing red and blue lights from a police car behind you (Just kidding, people who attend RCC never speed). While we usually don’t get to choose when fear shows up, God has provided some ways we can effectively respond to it. The title of my message this week is NO FEAR! Wow, our 8th annual Celebrate America was a beautiful service last Sunday! If you didn’t get to be there in-person, you can watch it here.

This Sunday we finish up with our series called “That You May Know” a verse-by-verse study of John’s three epistles. We’ll look at 3rd John in depth and look at the apostle’s warning to churches regarding the wolves that come into a church seeking to destroy it from within. I hope to see you!

The ladies have a really great event coming up Saturday, July 12, 9am – 12pm down at the JUMP building in downtown Boise, (If you’ve never seen JUMP you need to)! Our Women’s Ministry is partnering with Love INC (Love In the Name of Christ) to fill supply bags for families in need and to learn about what Love INC does in our communities. The cost is $20 and includes a great lunch. Meet at the JUMP Conference Center 1000 W. Myrtle St. in Boise. You can park in the underground lot for $6. Carpooling is encouraged. Also, you can pick up a paper bag out in the lobby this Sunday and fill it up to get a head start if you want. Register here online.

Every Fourth of July we hear the word “Freedom” tossed around a lot, but what does it mean for Christ-followers? What is it, and where does it come from? This Sunday I’ll share some thoughts from Galatians 5 that provide a great foundational answer as to how to live in true freedom. Bulletproof is BACK! And it begins this Wednesday night, June 11, with food trucks! Bulletproof is our summer Bible study where the whole family is invited to come and study God’s Word TOGETHER! Children learn age-appropriate lessons in the Kid’s classrooms while the youth and parents are in the Worship Center sitting at tables with their Bibles opened up. This year the study is called – Living Victoriously in Difficult Times by Precept Ministries. Come and learn together as a family or as a single. Study guides are $8 and will have plenty on hand this Wednesday. Just bring your own pencil and Bible!

This Sunday we continue our Update Israel miniseries with “Why Support Israel?” A few weeks back I laid out how anti-Semitism is accelerating across the world and sadly, we witnessed it in our own country again last Sunday. Police arrested an Egyptian man for fire-bombing several Jewish people who were marching in Boulder Colorado in support of the hostages held by Hamas terrorists. A line is being drawn in countries and streets across the globe demanding that people choose whether or not to support Israel’s very existence. This Sunday we will discuss reasons for believers and churches to stand beside this nation – God’s chosen. I hope you can make it at 9am or 11am.

With Mother’s Day almost here, it causes many of us to reflect on the mom God so graciously provided to us personally. I know Mother’s Day brings with it a wide variety of emotions when we think back, but for me it’s a wonderful memory of a special lady who cared and provided for me, and she is the one who spoke Jesus into my life when I played the prodigal.
